Day 6 of our challenge.
Cloudy sky. Cold wind. 6am.
My business partner texted me:
"Bro... do we really have to go today?"
I replied: "We're going."
He showed up.
We swam.
We froze a little.
And we laughed about it on the way back.
Two days later, he said something that stuck with me.
"If you weren't there... I wouldn't have gone. Not once."
We're on day 8 of 21.
And he told me he'd already be out by day 3
if it wasn't for one thing:
The person next to him.
Here's what that made me realize:
Your environment doesn't just influence you.
It decides for you.
Not your willpower.
Not your discipline.
Not your motivation.
The people around you are like an elevator.
They either take you up.
Or they take you down.
There's no standing still.
Think about the 5 people you spend the most time with.
When you share a goal — do they push you forward?
Or do they find reasons why it won't work?
When you're about to quit — do they show up?
Or do they hand you an excuse?
When life gets cold and cloudy —
do they say "let's go anyway"?
Or do they say "maybe tomorrow"?
You don't rise to the level of your goals.
You fall to the level of your environment.
Choose your elevator wisely.
So here's my question for you:
Who in your life pushes you up, even on the days you don't feel like moving?
Reply and tell me. I read every single one.
