A few months ago, I had a realization…

Most of the things that stress us out aren’t actually urgent.

But we treat them like they are.

I was reminded of that today when I picked up my coffee…

and realized it had gone completely cold.

I didn’t forget it.

I didn’t “run out of time.”

I just kept telling myself:

“I’ll drink it in a second.”

“Let me finish this first.”

“Almost done… just a minute.”

But that “minute” kept moving.

And by the time I reached for the cup,

my small moment of warmth had already become another casualty of busyness.

That cold cup made something painfully clear:

When everything feels urgent… nothing is truly important.

Because urgency has a way of hijacking your life.

You rush.

You react.

You fill every spare second with something “productive.”

And the tiny moments,

the ones that actually build your life,

slip through the cracks without making a sound.

A warm drink.

A breath.

A pause.

A thought.

A feeling.

Gone… not because you didn’t have time,

but because noise won over presence.

And that’s the uncomfortable part:

Were you really too busy?

Or did you just forget to protect the moments that make you feel human?

So let me ask you:

What small moment have you been rushing past lately?

Reply and tell me, I’d love to hear.
