I hit the goal.
Exactly what I said I wanted.
On time. On target.
And I sat there waiting to feel something.
Proud. Relieved. Excited.
Anything.
Instead?
Nothing.
Just... quiet.
And a strange, uncomfortable thought:
"Is this it?"
I had spent months chasing that goal.
Sacrificed weekends for it.
Turned down plans.
Pushed through exhaustion.
And when I finally got there โ
it didn't feel like winning.
It felt like arriving at the wrong destinationโฆ
Here's what that moment taught me:
Reaching the wrong goal is worse than missing it.
Because when you miss a goal, you still have direction.
When you reach the wrong one โ you have nothing left to run toward.
Productivity without purpose isn't progress.
It's just faster failure.
The real question was never "how do I get there?"
It was "why does this actually matter to me?"
And I had skipped that question entirely.
So here's what I want to ask you:
The goal you're chasing right now โ
does it excite you because it's truly yours?
Or because someone else made it look worth having?
Reply and tell me. I read every single one.
