THE ALIVENESS SERIES โ PART 2 OF 4
Comfort is supposed to feel good.
So we build more of it.
We remove uncertainty.
Avoid difficult conversations.
Repeat what we already know.
Stay where we feel competent, accepted and safe.
And for a while, it works.
But eventually, something strange can happen:
Life becomes easierโyet you feel less alive inside it.
Not because comfort is bad.
Your body needs rest.
Your mind needs safety.
You need places where nothing is demanded from you.
But comfort was designed to be somewhere you recoverโ
not somewhere you permanently hide.
COMFORT RESTORES YOU WHEN YOU RETURN TO IT.
IT SHRINKS YOU WHEN YOU REFUSE TO LEAVE IT.
Think about the moments when you felt most alive.
They probably werenโt completely comfortable.
Maybe you were learning something you hadnโt mastered yet.
Saying what you were afraid to say.
Starting before you felt ready.
Taking responsibility for something that mattered.
There was uncertainty.
There was resistance.
But there was also energy.
Because a meaningful challenge doesnโt only take something from you.
It introduces you to a version of yourself you havenโt met yet.
This doesnโt mean you should make your life unnecessarily difficult.
Pain isnโt always progress.
Pressure isnโt automatically purpose.
And exhaustion isnโt proof that youโre growing.
The goal isnโt to choose the hardest path.
Itโs to notice where comfort has quietly become a cage.
Hereโs todayโs Action Spark:
Ask yourself:
โWhere am I choosing whatโs familiarโnot because itโs right, but because it asks nothing new from me?โ
Then take one step beyond that edge within the next 24 hours.
Send the message.
Spend 20 minutes on the idea.
Tell the truth.
Attempt the thing you may not be good at yet.
Choose something that makes you feel nervous and curious at the same time.
That combination is often a clue.
Because maybe youโre not waiting for more energy.
MAYBE YOUR ENERGY IS WAITING FOR YOU TO MOVE.
But not every difficult thing deserves your effort.
Some challenges expand you.
Others only drain you.
On Friday, Iโll show you a simple way to tell the difference.
Until then:
What comfortable place have you outgrown?
Hit reply and tell me.
I read every single one.

Every sales leader knows the feeling. You walk into a pipeline review with a number you believe in, and twenty minutes later, you're defending every line item to a CEO who just wants to know what's actually going to close.
HubSpot Sales Hub ends that conversation. Every deal, every rep's activity, and every buyer signal are all in one place and updated automatically. So your forecast is built on what's actually happening. And when you present that number, you can stand behind it.
